The McMenamins. Welcome, Baby Iris!
It was really wonderful to see Kayla and Connors again, and this time, I got to meet baby Iris. She came into this world surrounded by love, good energy, and a full head of hair. I arrived to The McMenamins home on a sunny weekday afternoon, and as they spent a couple hours together cuddling on the couch and telling jokes to baby Ri Ri, I snapped away. I love that I was able to take a glimpse at some old photographs they have from when they were sweet babes, and displayed next to those perfectly captured moments were photos of Kayla, Connors, and Iris. Full circle. Family creating family. Everything. Why am I teary-eyed while typing this?

Newborn photography sessions are a great way to capture your baby shortly after she has entered the world. In a time when sleep is scarce and days feel like nights, time truly slips through your hands. As all of you adjust to a divine new life within your four walls, you feel a renewal and a new sense of belonging. This is the perfect time to document this chapter of your story, and if you invite me into your home to witness and capture these fleeting moments, I promise to come away with photos that will take you right back to these sleepy days. Newborns are simply magic, and as your baby grows, you’ll be able to pull out your newborn album and show them photos of themselves as they got to know you and your eyes and your smiles. They’ll see love in these photos, and they’ll recognize the impact they made when they were born.
