Casa De España, San Juan Wedding
Casa De España Wedding / San Juan, Puerto Rico
I could go on about the amazing, tropical location.. the beauty in Puerto Rican people and culture.. the perfect wedding details.. but honestly, what made this wedding special at its core were the words spoken by Tomm, the officiant, rooted in friendship, love, community, and recent top-40 hits; the skydiving stories shared with India and Amanda at the welcome dinner; the poem about their daughter written by Mira and Martin; the happy birthday sung to Gael and Pippa by a chorus of 100+ wedding guests; the perfectly hilarious toasts shared by Danielle and Chacho; and the way Alber said the sweetest, quietest words to his grandson, Gael. It was these words shared by these hearts that truly made this wedding so beautiful. Brittany and Alberto have a community surrounding them that keeps you on your toes while forcing you to love life even more.
Wow, I’m so grateful for this whirlwind weekend in San Juan celebrating this family. This is just a quick glance after capturing thousands of images.. just way too many memories for a blog post.
And truly, I could not have traveled this far and captured these images without the amazing help of Ale and Carol, the incredible coordinators behind this entire celebration. Often times, the “behind the scenes” at weddings is a community in and of itself, and I am SO LUCKY to have been able to work with this team. Ale and Carol went above and beyond for all vendors, and they made this wedding happen. I also got to work with Daniel and Daisy, two wonderful videographers with the sweetest smiles and senses of humor. I hope all of these people come to Portland some day!
