Amaterra Wedding
Amaterra Wedding - Portland, Oregon
Sunlight stretched long over the hills, casting a golden glow on the sleek walls of Amaterra. The perfect contrast. This urban winery, tucked into the hills, gave Abbie and Gabe the perfect mix of city and nature, and the day was just as relaxed as it was beautiful.
Abbie and Gabe opted out of a formal wedding party, and they spent the day with their closest friends, relieving some of the pressure of formality. There were no strict schedules or big productions—just time to enjoy the people they love most— this was priority for Abbie.
Their color palette was soft and dreamy, filled with pastel shades, which perfectly complimented the concrete buildings of Amaterra. Abbie’s bouquet had gentle pinks, lilacs, and soft yellows, andthe reception tables were decorated with flowers that looked like they had been picked from a wild garden.
Amaterra is such a unique place for a wedding. It’s a winery in the city, but it feels like a peaceful getaway. The sleek concrete buildings stand tall against rolling vineyards, and at the end of the day, the sun casts long, beautiful shadows.
As the evening went on, candles flickered, wine glasses clinked, and happy voices filled the air. The large windows at the reception hall allowed guests to enjoy the expansive views of the night sky, and people shimmied from the dance floor to the outdoor fire pit. Amaterra truly allows for a unique experience and encourages people to explore the property; so, if you don’t want to be surrounded by the loud music on the dance floor, you can head to the peaceful outdoor terrace.
What made the day exceptional was how much it was about spending time with loved ones. There was no rush—just laughter, shared meals, and lots of hugs. Abbie and Gabe, your wedding was a dream to photograph. Thank you for trusting me to capture these real wedding moments of the people who love you most.
